Ladybird & Lacewing House
Both of these insects are natural predators of garden pests like aphids and greenfly. Encouraging these insects will help reduce or eliminate chemical insecticide use in the garden.
To encourage these insects, the internal chamber can be filled through the viewing ports with straw (lacewings), or bark (ladybirds and other insects) to provide valuable, insulated over-wintering space.
Position the box near an aphid problem area, in a sheltered position. Wildlife World ladybird or lacewing attractant can be used dependent upon the desired insect you wish to attract.
Monitoring & Inspection
The habitat has clear viewing windows to allow inspection of the internal chamber. The front holes can also be checked for bee cells or other signs of activity.
This is a natural timber product and does not require treating.
