I could not understand why there are such big drainage holes in a seed catcher that is to stop seed falling on floor and encouraging vermin, which is the reason I purchased it. Sunflower hearts just fall straight through so have had to purchase black sealant now to fill holes. Why not small ones? Doesn't make sense. Mrs p higgins

This is easy to assemble and to clean. It does help with less seed being dropped but if you have starlings and pigeons visiting you will still find some seed on the floor as they are quite messy and this isn't quite large enough circumference wise to collect all the seed with regards to the larger birds that visit the feeder. All in all though it does help and a bit less sweeping up behind the birds every day. If it was a few inches larger al round it would be a lot better than it already is.
