Peanuts are still one of the most important foods for our garden birds. They are high in energy and rich in essential oils and protein, making them a firm favourite of many species including the tit family, nuthatches and the great spotted woodpecker. Peanuts are easy to feed and there is little wastage so you can keep the ground below feeders clear. We recommend that you don't over-fill your peanut feeders - just fill sufficient for 4-5 days. Then when you top up, tip the remaining uneaten peanuts back into your container - shake them up with new, and refill your feeders. This will prevent them becoming mouldy- especially in wet/humid weather.
We have recently purchased these delicious Argentinian peanuts - sized at 40/50 ( so bigger than the peanuts you see advertised by our competitors as 70/80s ), which are human grade peanuts Do you know that the higher the number , the smaller the peanut?
These Argentinian peanuts a have a very high oil content and are bound to be a success in your garden.
All the peanuts we sell have been subjected to the strictest safety testing and all come with a certification of 'nil detectable aflatoxin' status - the safest standard there is.
A note to our customers about the transition from 20kg sacks to 15kg sacks. We have made a decision, which will become effective from 1st November 2021, to use DPD as our courier partner. We feel that DPD will offer our customers a better service and delivery experience, with one hour scheduled time slots and advanced tracking systems. However, for this to happen, we need to box all our goods; DPD will not deliver unboxed goods. We feel that a 20kg sack in a large box is not easily manageable for our customers, so we have made the decision to drop to 15kg, which, a box, is more easily lifted and handled. Sadly, we have to factor in the additional cost of the box, but we are hoping that this will be balanced out by the much better service that DPD will be able to give us all. We will continue to monitor costs and of course, endeavour to reduced them whenever prices start to come back down again. Thank you for your understanding. Kind regards. Lesley
Please note - if you would like to buy bulk quantities of any of our products as unboxed 20kg sacks we will still be able to offer a pallet delivery, which will be very competitively priced.
