Sunflower Heart Chips
Chipped sunflower hearts ( which are just broken and smaller pieces of sunflower hearts created when the black outer husk is removed) are a great option at this time of year.
They are particularly eaten by tits and soft-billed bird species ( like robins and dunnocks ) and are particularly popular during the summer months when smaller fledglings can manage the bite-sized pieces. Whilst most of the product will be chips, please note that there may also be some small sized whole hearts present in the bag.
The chips are best fed from a bird table or feeding platform or from the ground. Although they can be fed from normal hanging seed feeders, if the weather is wet, they may clog the feeder.
If you would prefer to feed them from a hanging feeder, we recommend that you use an easy clean feeder, where the bottom easily detaches for easy cleaning and emptying.
Your Sunflower Heart Chips should be stored somewhere cool and dry. We recommend that they should be used within 5 months of purchase - just to make sure they stay fresh and nutritious for your garden birds.
Make the most of these seriously good-value-for-money heart chips!
