How do I use Beeutiful Wraps?
When your Beeutiful Wraps arrive, they may feel quite stiff but you will find the warmth of your hands makes them pliable so they will mould over a bowl, plate or piece of food. They will then become firm when cooled, for example in the fridge, and retain their shape. The Beeswax Wraps allow your food to breathe which will enable your cheese, fruit, vegetables, bread and any other food you use them for to keep fresh. It is not recommended that you use these wraps with uncooked meat or fish.
How do I care for my Beeutiful Wraps?
After use, wash your Beeutiful Wrap in COLD, mild, soapy water. The wraps become stiff in cold water which enables you to wash them as you would a plate. They will withstand a gentle and light scrub with a dishcloth or sponge. You can pat them dry with a tea towel or just hang to dry. Do not wring. Once dry they can be folded and kept in a drawer or out on your worktop.
How long can I use the wraps for?
Your Beeutiful Wraps can last 6 months to a year with good care. If you find it is getting a bit creased with wear, which is only natural, you can refresh your wrap by 1) ironing it between two pieces of grease proof paper or 2) pop in the oven on a baking tray covered in greaseproof paper at no higher than 100 degrees and for no more than 3 minutes.
Do the Wraps smell?
Beeutiful Wraps will have a faint smell of beeswax and pine when they are new. This will disappear with use.
Can I wrap uncooked meat or fish?
You should not use your wraps with uncooked meat and fish.
