The 30+ sparrows that have started coming since we swapped to this food certainly have no complaints! The red millet does tend to make a bit of a mess, but we're happy to have a bit of a wilder garden and the millet leaves popping up is very pretty.

This has proved extremely popular with a wide range of small birds that visit my garden. Any that falls from the feeder is quickly snaffled by dunnocks and other ground feeders. It's difficult keeping up with demand!

This review is left on behalf of the mirad of birds that scoff it up. They love it. For my part it is good value for money because there is less waste. Birds will just chuck it on the floor if they don't want to eat it. Many cheap brands these days put lots of filler in that just ends up a mess under the feeder for you to clean up. Again for my part I am fortunate to live nearby and delight in coming to the farm to collect. The staff are friendly, obliging and considerate.

This seed has succeeded in attracting the sparrows into our garden so it has achieved what I wanted, however disappointingly I am always left with the red millet in the ground feeder which I then have to dispose of before I can replenish with more seed. Also any red millet which falls on the floor from the hanging feeder does not get eaten either so it just makes a mess. Unfortunately I’ve ordered a 8kg bag so will have to use this up before I can try a different seed

I haven't seen a sparrow in my garden for a long time so I bought just 4kg of this along with another feed mix to see what would happen. I have had days where I counted 7 or 8 sparrows at one time competing with the robins and bluetits at the bird feeders. The noise they make is wonderful and reminds me of my childhood. We counted six sparrows at the same time in the bird bath. I have just placed an order for a larger bag. Thank you for the pleasure you have provided.

Amazing! I have multiple bird feeders with various seed mixes in my garden but have trouble attracting sparrows except in Spring when they come for the live food. Since using the sparrow food I am amazed that the sparrows make a beeline for this feeder every time (plus the suet balls) and there are more coming daily. Very popular and certainly appropriately named. The sparrows love it.

The smaller seeds are not liked by my feathered guests. Not sure what they are, they are round about 2mm and orange-brown. Most end up on the soil. Otherwise it's very populare with the small birds especially sparrows.
