How to store your sparrow food

Our Sparrow Seed Mix™ should be stored somewhere cool and dry. We recommend using it up within 5 months of purchase - just to make sure it stays fresh and nutritious for your garden birds.

NOTE: If you would like to buy bigger quantities of our products (including our Sparrow Seed Mix™), we are able to offer quarter, half and full pallets of 15kg sacks. These will equate to 300kg (20 sacks), 600kg (40 sacks) or 1.2 tonnes (80 sacks). This is such a good mix I do not try to improve it just use it with other mixes to even out the use of my stock. I do use it "neat" in my small bird feeders and again NO DUT NO WASTE

What do sparrows eat?
The house sparrow's favourite foods include cereal grains and invertebrates. We created this fantastic seed mix just for them (includes FREE delivery).
Sparrows are especially partial to red millet – a fact that is backed up by wildlife conservationists such as the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) and the Cumbria Wildlife Trust. Our home-grown millet will give your garden sparrows a healthy dose of B complex vitamins and minerals.
Our sparrow seed mix also contains protein-packed mealworms, another favourite of house sparrows.

How can I attract sparrows to my garden?
Sparrows love dense hedges and other sheltered spaces – perhaps let an area of your garden grow slightly wild to give them a safe space. Tailor your feeding habits to consider the preferences of sparrows and put out bird feed they enjoy, like our sparrow seed mix!

What type of bird feeder do sparrows prefer?
Sparrows are natural ground feeders, and for that reason they prefer to eat from platform feeders such as bird tables, ground feeders, and seed trays.
