The package was falling apart when I received it. Not enough care was taken. I accepted the package because I felt the item wouldn’t be damaged

This seems sturdy enough but I am not looking forward to having to clean it, as I don't think the feeder part can be removed from the cage. Can't comment on its squirrel-proof properties as we bought it to keep the starlings out - because they hog the feeder and the house sparrows get less as a result. Two problems with that so far. Starlings don't seem to be able to get in it, but they CAN hang off it and get their beaks through. The other issue is that house sparrows are apparently quite neophobic - hence they have barely touched this feeder yet and I think it will need to be in place for a few weeks or months before they will take to it. We shall persevere!

This feeder does not deter squirrels they still get into my bird food so it is not what you say it is and should not be advertised as a squirrel free bird feeder!!!
