Our Premium Sunflower Hearts for birds are top quality, bakery grade sunflower hearts derived from the plumpest black sunflower seeds.

What are sunflower hearts for birds?

Sunflower hearts are a nutritious and high energy snack loved by all manner of wild birds. Our premium sunflower hearts for birds are also very high calorie due to their oil content, which makes them a particularly good bird feed option for the winter months.

What’s the difference between sunflower seeds and sunflower hearts?

Sunflower hearts are simply sunflower seeds with the husk (outer shell) removed. This makes it easier for birds to eat them and stops your garden from becoming messy.

Removing the husk of sunflower seeds is a finnicky and arduous process, but we’ve taken care of all the boring bits for you. Our premium sunflower hearts for birds come ready to eat, simply put them out in your feeder and watch the birds enjoy! No more wasting time dehusking sunflower seeds by hand.

How long do sunflower hearts for birds last?

Our premium sunflower hearts should be stored somewhere cool and dry. We recommend that they be used within 5 months of purchase to ensure that they stay fresh and nutritious for your garden birds.

I have been buying seed and feeders from this company for over ten years and wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. The seed is excellent and attracts a wide variety of birds. On the very rare occasion that there’s been a problem, a quick phone call has sorted it out. Delivery is with a really good courier and always prompt. It makes such a difference to have a reliable source of good food for the birds!
