What Do Jays Eat?
Jays are opportunistic omnivores and eat many foods, like acorns, berries, nuts, seeds, and insects - they have even been known to raid other birds' nests for eggs and fledglings and eat small mammals like mice!
Wild jays also love to eat acorns, and you may see them digging these out of the ground on occasion. However, if you don't have room for your own oak tree, you'll need to find an alternative jay bird food!
